XYZ, the creative experience agency, is celebrating its tenth anniversary year by reporting record revenue and headcount growth.
Following 11 client wins across 2022, including Aston Martin, Tata Motors and Moncler, the agency has recorded year-on-year revenue growth of 160%, which represents an increase of 20% on its highest pre-covid figures.
The agency, which was founded in January 2013 by Will Mould and Paul Stanway, has seen its headcount rise by 85% in the past 12 months, with key hires in leadership positions including Becca Ratcliffe joining as head of client services and James Hoyle as creative director.
Additionally, the creative studio has grown with the arrival of Alice Westwood as design lead, Maryam Hussein as senior conceptual creative and Matteo Cortes Rios and Sabrina Sigismondi joining as 3D designers.
Paul Stanway, co-founder and executive creative director, attributed the agency’s upswing to firmly backing the power of experiences as the sector recovered following the pandemic. “2022 has delivered record growth at XYZ; revenue wise, in terms of headcount and client wins. We are continuing to work with some of the world’s best-known brands who realise the value of our deep expertise in ‘experience’ definition, design and delivery; with pivotal work such as Gucci Circolo, Nike’s EC22 Lionesses campaign and Moncler’s Extraordinary Exhibition amongst some of the highest profile.”
The agency has relaunched its website to reflect its truth of experience thinking and offering and is also moving to a larger office this year to accommodate its expanding teams.
“We believe that every interaction between a brand and an audience can be an experience. The truth in these experiences comes from a direct, powerful and personal reaction that shapes our behaviour and attitudes as a result,” added Paul.
Projects for Q1 2023 include an experience for a luxury brand at London Fashion Week in February and activations for streetwear brands in Paris and New York.
